Join us for a discussion of Crying in H Mart by Michelle Zauner.
The Skip to the End Book Club is a space for reading, thinking, and talking about topics related to death and dying. We read books about illness, caregiving, spirituality, and other topics that call on us to stretch our understanding of what it means to be mortal.
This club is for anyone who wants to engage in open and caring discussion with people who may share and challenge your perspectives on life and death.
This month we will be reading Crying in H Mart, a memoir about a daughter caring for her mother at the end of her life. Zauner reflects on what it means to feel the push and pull of her Asian American identity, the home she left to follow her dreams but has to return to once her mother falls ill, and the complexities of grief and love.
We’ll come together for a virtual discussion to talk about our experiences with the book and share perspectives in compassionate and open-hearted exchange.
This will be a virtual event. To attend: Register Via Zoom
