Under the Moontower

an intentional network of clubs and spaces of shared interest in Austin, TX and beyond

The Moontower Network is a community volunteer run and powered collection of events intended to create unique spaces of connection around common interests.

Starting with a single book club in 2017, we have since expanded to provide both in-person events in Austin, TX and online events attended by people around the world.

Check out our group offerings below and click the “Learn more” button under each to hear about different ways to engage.

About Us

Our Clubs and Events

Under the Moontower Sci-Fi and Fantasy Club

Meeting monthly since 2017, this group started as a book club specifically tailored to fems and thems who want to read books by and featuring folx who are traditionally underrepresented in sci-fi and fantasy.

Since then, we have branched out to have watch parties, social nights, game nights, and more!

End of Life Doula Networking Events

Once a month, we host a virtual afternoon tea where End of Life Doulas, care workers, and volunteers, can gather.

Since January of 2020, we have provided a nurturing space for sharing emerging and best practices, building a support network for collaborative care, and providing open space for those trying to figure out if becoming an end of life doula is right for them.

Skip to the End Book Club

A bi-monthly book club for exploring existential topics like grief, death, illness, caregiving, life, spirituality, and more.

Currently on hiatus, but we’ll be back late spring or early summer 2026.
